3PC HC276 Ball Valve represents the highest tier of corrosion resistance in industrial flow control. Built from Hastelloy C276 (Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloy) and utilizing a modular three-piece body design, this valve is engineered for the most extreme chemical environments where standard stainless steels and even duplex alloys fail.
Description
Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276) is a nickel-based “super-alloy” designed for maximum reliability in severe service:
- Stability in Harsh Acids: Proven durability in strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and cupric chlorides, as well as hot contaminated mineral acids.
- Elite Resistance to Oxidizing & Reducing Media: Exceptional performance in a vast range of chemical environments, including wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.
- Superior Pitting & SCC Defense: The high molybdenum and chromium content provides outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in high-chloride conditions.
Features
- Modular 3-Piece Design: The central body section can be “swung out” by removing a few bolts, allowing for internal cleaning, seat replacement, and maintenance without fully disconnecting the end caps from the pipeline. This significantly reduces downtime.
- In-Line Serviceability: Because the pipe connectors (end caps) remain attached to the line, the 3PC design is the preferred choice for welded systems where valve removal is difficult.
- Full Bore Flow: Provides an unobstructed flow path that matches the pipe’s inner diameter, ensuring zero flow restriction and minimal pressure drop.
- Precision-Engineered Sealing: High-integrity PTFE or RPTFE seats combined with a mirror-polished HC276 ball ensure a bubble-tight shut-off even after thousands of cycles in aggressive media.
- High-Pressure Capability: The 3-piece bolted construction offers superior structural rigidity, making it suitable for high-pressure industrial applications.
