Inconel Series: High-Temperature Mastery
Inconel alloys (such as 600 and 625) are engineered for service from cryogenic temperatures to over 1000°C.
- Inconel 600: Offers exceptional resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking and high-temperature water corrosion. It is the premier choice for high-concentration caustic (NaOH) solutions at elevated temperatures.
- Inconel 625: Features excellent fatigue strength and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and aggressive acids.
Incoloy Series: Aqueous & Acid Resistance
Incoloy alloys (including 800 and 825) focus on resistance to aqueous corrosion and specialized acid mixtures.
- Incoloy 800/800H: Highly resistant to steam, air, and carbon dioxide mixtures. Its high nickel and chromium content provide excellent stability in nitric and organic acids.
- Incoloy 825: A “workhorse” for sulfuric and phosphoric acid service. It maintains incredible resistance to stress corrosion cracking in both oxidizing and reducing environments, including sodium and potassium hydroxide solutions.
