Wafer Butterfly Valve is a compact, high-performance solution designed for space-sensitive installations where reliable shut-off and fluid regulation are critical. Featuring an advanced Triple Eccentric (Three-Dimensional) structure, this valve is engineered to handle extreme industrial conditions, including temperatures up to 550°C, making it a staple in metallurgy, power generation, and petrochemical industries.
Description
Standard butterfly valves often suffer from seat wear due to constant friction. Our Wafer Butterfly Valve solves this with a sophisticated three-offset design:
- First Offset: The shaft is located behind the sealing face.
- Second Offset: The shaft is offset from the pipe centerline.
- Third Offset (The HPV Advantage): A unique eccentric angle is added to the seat cone. This geometry ensures the butterfly plate only contacts the seat at the final point of closure, effectively eliminating friction during the 90° stroke. This design increases the service life and allows the seal to become tighter as more torque is applied.
Features
- Space-Saving Wafer Design: The thin, “wafer” body fits between two pipe flanges, significantly reducing the valve’s footprint and weight compared to flanged versions.
- Dual-Layer Sealing: The seal consists of multi-layered stainless steel and flexible graphite/PTFE. This “hard and soft” layering offers the strength of a metal seal with the zero-leakage performance of a flexible seal.
- Hardened Sealing Surfaces: The seat is reinforced with cobalt-based alloy (Stellite) welding, providing elite resistance to wear, erosion, and high-temperature oxidation.
- Torque-Seated Reliability: Unlike position-seated valves, this triple eccentric design is torque-seated. This allows operators to adjust the sealing pressure to ensure a perfect “never pass” seal regardless of pressure fluctuations.
